Detailed DVH metrics, plan quality scores, and OAR dose comparisons from Airato's internal validation cohort. All data represents retrospective plan comparison against clinical-approved reference plans.
Validation Methodology
Study Design
Retrospective plan comparison. CT image sets, contours, and approved reference plans from participating radiation oncology departments in Japan. Airato re-optimized each case using the same prescription and OAR constraints as the reference plan.
No patient treatment was modified. Airato plans were compared to reference plans on dosimetric metrics only.
Cohort Composition
15 IMRT cases across three treatment sites: prostate (6 cases), head-and-neck (5 cases), lung (4 cases). Mixed prescription doses per site standard institutional protocols.
Evaluation Metrics
Primary metrics:
- Plan Quality Metric (PQM) — composite score
- D95 for PTV — target coverage
- Dmean for principal OARs per site
- Dmax for serial OARs (spinal cord, brainstem)
- V20 for bilateral lung (lung cases)
Comparison: Airato plan vs. clinical-approved reference plan. Values reported as mean ± SD across cohort.
